When Mrs. S first called us here at Global Dwelling, she was concerned and wanted to learn more about why she was receiving high energy bills for her home. During her home comfort evaluation, it was discovered that her attic was poorly insulated with old insulation that was not properly air-sealed. The combination led to her home leaking out all of the heat, costing her a fortune! We quickly sent our team of insulation experts to her home to help reduce the costs to heat and cool her home and restore her peace of mind.

Upon the arrival of our experts, the first step they completed was to remove and properly dispose of all of the old insulation in the attic. Our team was then able to air-seal the space by using ZypFoam. Air-sealing is essential when insulating because it doesn't allow leaky or unwanted air to get into the space and affect the overall temperature. Once the attic was properly air-sealed, our team was then ready to upgrade this attic with our premier method, blown-in cellulose! Our team of experts blew in up to 18 inches of cellulose which will settle to 16 inches and provide an R-value of 60! Because our method is known to be both energy efficient and cost effective, in the months to follow, Mrs. S will see reduced costs to heat and cool her home!
