Mr. Z called us with complaints of cold floors from the prior frigid winter months that we all experience in the upstate Hudson valley area. A poorly insulated home can call for a very uncomfortable winter season in the place you should feel the most comfortable. He had told us that the rooms above his crawlspace were significantly colder than any of the other first floor rooms that sat above the space. Our home comfort specialist made a trip to Mr. Z's home and evaluated the problem areas to find a successful solution to comfort. Mr. Z and Our home comfort specialist agreed upon insulating the below crawlspace.
Upon the installation day, our expert insulators began by installing a GoldSeal Crawlspace Liner along the dirt floor. They then seal the edges with an expanding foam vapor barrier. To insulate the hatch cover and went cover for full insulation coverage, our team of experts installed Silverglo boarding. This material is also air sealed with Zypfoam for an air tight guarantee! Lastly our install teams use spray foam on the walls and rim joists. This method ensures an efficiently insulated crawlspace and warmer floors and rooms in the above rooms in the winter seasons! Come the summer seasons this method also keeps your cool air in without air conditioning the outside or non-livable spaces.
