Cold drafty floors are a thing of the past once our experts fixed this uncomfortable home! Our specialist found that the space needed the insulation removed and replaced with a more efficient insulation method that would solve their problem of cold feet! 

Our team was quick to arrive at the home and install our rigid foam board insulation on the exterior walls and install our encapsulation system with GoldSeal. They first started this upgrade installation process by removing all of the old nasty fiberglass insulation from the ceiling. Once removed, they were able to install SilverGlo in the rim joists and air-seal with ZypFoam. Insulating the rim joists with our material will decrease the very accessible air penetrations into the space with leaky and unwanted air. Once the rim joists were insulated, our team was then ready to install our GoldSeal crawlspace encapsulation system! Our experts first started by laying down a drainage matt on the floor which will help with water mitigation and provide protection against outside elements. The drainage matt was set in place with a vapor barrier, the system was then completed with a vapor barrier placed on top and both were secured together with vapor barrier tape.

With the combination of both the rim joists being insulated and the crawlspace floor being encapsulated, these homeowners will no longer suffer from cold drafty floors. No more cold feet this winter!
