This Attic was one of many we've seen that was keeping this homeowner unhappy and overall uncomfortable. Ron called us with an attic that had older, outdated and less effective fiberglass insulation. This is unfortunately something that we run into a lot but we are always happy to provide improved alternative insulating options that are significantly better performing.
Ron was looking to overall reduce costs to heat and cool his home. His home was also not properly air sealed which allowed the warmed or cooled air from the home differentiating upon season to escape into the attic space. Our team began by removing the outdated and ineffective fiberglass batt insulation. They then air sealed the space with Zypfoam and spray foam. We encapsulated the ducting with spray foam to better insulate the traveling air. Our expert insulators also insulated the chimney chase. Lastly, it was time to blow-in the cellulose!
Now Ron is warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer while being more energy efficient and cost efficient! We are proud to say we've added one more happy home to our ever lasting goal of home comfort, energy efficiency and sustainability!
