When Mr. S reached out to us here at Global Dwelling, he had concerns about the insulation that was in his home. He said that all of the floors in the lower level of the home were cold and drafty and didn't ever seem to warm up. We sent one of our highly trained and experienced home comfort specialists to his home to evaluate and provide the best possible solution. Our specialist found that the crawlspace below did not have proper insulation and had outside elements getting into the space resulting in affecting the overall temperature. 

Our team of expert crawlspace insulators arrived quickly to help Mr. S and help restore peace of mind for him and his family. Our experts began by removing all of the old fiberglass insulation that was in the crawlspace ceiling. During this process, our experts removed the plastic on the crawlspace flooring that was once used to protect the space against the outside elements. After the space was cleared out, our experts then insulated the rim joists by installing our SilverGlo rigid foam boards that were then air-sealed. Insulating the rim joists will diminish cold air getting into the air and affecting the floors above. Our experts then encapsulated the crawlspace to properly protect it against any outside elements that were once affecting the space. We encapsulated the crawlspace by first laying down a drainage matt, our team then completed the encapsulation by securing a vapor barrier on top of the matt and securing it together with vapor barrier tape. The combination of both of these will create an impenetrable space against any outside affecting elements. No more cold drafty floors for this family!

Mr. U knew we were the right team of insulation experts to come out to his home and improve the overall efficiency of his attic space! When we sent one of our highly trained home comfort specialist to his home, we found that the attic had old batt fiberglass insulation that needed to be removed and replaced with a new upgraded method. Our specialist provided the best possible solution that would fix the constantly running heat he had going for his home. 

Our team of insulation experts first started by removing all of the old existing insulation that was previously used to insulate the home and made sure the space was clear for the upgraded insulation method. Our experts then thoroughly air-sealed the attic space by using ZypFoam to make sure that all possible air penetrations in the space were closed off. Once the attic air-sealing was completed our experts then blew in 18 inches of our TruSoft cellulose which will settle to 16 inches and insulate the home up to an R-value of 60! No more uncomfortable home for Mr. U!

Luckily Mrs. W called the right team of experts to help fix her home! We sent one of our home comfort specialists to complete an energy audit on her home to find all of the problem areas that were causing her to lose the most amount of energy. 

It was discovered in the home energy audit that her home was poorly insulated and needed to be upgraded with an energy-efficient insulation method. The first step our insulation experts took in upgrading the space was to remove all of the old batt fiberglass insulation and debris in the space. The old insulation was no longer holding an R-value and was allowing the space to lose energy. With the removal completed, our insulation experts then went in and thoroughly air-sealed the space with ZypFoam, to fully ensure that all possible accessible air penetrations were sealed and no longer leaking or letting out the unwanted air. 

Lastly, with the space thoroughly air-sealed, our team went in and upgraded the attic with our blown-in cellulose. Our premier method of insulation insulates up to a value of R-60 and is also known to be energy-efficient and cost-effective! 

After enhancing the insulation in her attic space, Mrs. W noticed an almost immediate difference in her energy bills in the months to follow! We were more than happy to help Mrs. W and fix her uncomfortable home!
