We sent one of our highly trained and experienced home comfort specialists, John Lopez to the home and provide a solution to the homeowner's problem. During the evaluation, John found that the rim joists in the basement were uninsulated which was the direct link to why the homeowners were experiencing extreme discomfort. Our expert insulators fixed this problem by installing our rigid foam board, SilverGlo in all of the rim joists. Once installed, our experts then air-sealed between them with ZypFoam to ensure that leaky or unwanted air would no longer be able to access the area. By insulating the rim joists, these homeowners will no longer suffer from freezing cold floors during the winter time!

Mr. L told us here at Global Dwelling that he was receiving high-cost energy bills and wanted a solution that was going to reduce the cost of heating and cooling his home. During the evaluation, it was discovered that the rim joist in the basement did not have any insulation, resulting in freezing cold floors above! Our team of expert basement insulators was quick to arrive and restore peace of mind for Mr. L. Our experts insulated the rim joists by installing our rigid foam board, SilverGlo which was then air-sealed with ZypFoam. Once applied, the ZypFoam expands so the once easily accessible air penetrations are enclosed from allowing leaky or unwanted air. Unwanted air getting into the space becomes a direct link for affecting the temperature of the space. We were happy to help Mr. L and his family during this cold season!
