When these homeowners initially contacted us they wanted a home energy audit to find out why it felt like their home was no longer keeping the temperature they wanted the most. We sent one of our home comfort specialists to their home to perform a home energy audit and to find all of the problem areas. Our home comfort specialist found that their home was underperforming because of the attic space. It was discovered to be poorly insulated and improperly air sealed, which was allowing for leaky and unwanted air to get through the area and not keep the temperature they wanted the most in the home. We sent our team of insulation contractors right away to fix this uncomfortable home before the upcoming cold winter season approached.

Once our team of insulation experts arrived they went straight to fixing the home! They first started by removing all of the old fiberglass insulation and clearing the attic to make sure it was ready for the attic air-sealing. Once ready, our team then used ZypFoam to close off any accessible air penetrations that were allowing leaky and unwanted air to pass through the home. The ZypFoam expands once applied so all of those little nooks and crannies were properly sealed! After the attic air-sealing, our team then insulated the space up to an R-value of 60 with our TruSoft cellulose! Our premier method was great for the home because not only does it improve the overall energy efficiency of the home, but it also is known to be cost-effective a direct link to lowering high-cost energy bills.
