When Mrs. B first called us at Global Dwelling, she was concerned about the high energy bills that she was receiving. We sent one of our highly trained and experienced Home Comfort Specialists to her home to thoroughly evaluate the space and provide her with our best possible solution. Our Specialist, Lukas, found that the attic was poorly insulated and needed to be upgraded with a new insulation method that help reduce the costs to heat and cool the home. Mrs. B also wanted the solution to transform her attic into a space she could use for personal use, and we were happy to do just that!
Upon the arrival of our insulation experts, the first step that was completed was to remove and properly dispose of all of the old insulation and debris that was in the space. Our team was then able to start the SuperAttic transformation process. Our team installed Foamax boards along all of the walls, slopes, and eves of the attic space. Our experts air-sealed between the boards everywhere in the space so that leaky or unwanted air wouldn't be able to get into the space and affect the overall temperature. Once finished, our team of experts then further sealed the ZypFoam by using a vapor barrier to go on top to give the space a finished look. This space went from being poorly insulated and unlivable attic to a properly insulated conditioned living space!
