Insulation Services Photo Album: Total Clean Space Encapsulation for Mr. J in Troy, NY!
When Mr. J called us here at Global Dwelling, he had some major concerns with the overall performance of his home. He was experiencing cold and drafty floors last winter and wanted to change that for this upcoming winter season! We sent one of our highly trained insulation contractors to his home to evaluate his crawlspace and provide the best possible solution. Our expert discovered that the crawlspace's exposed exterior walls were not properly insulated and did not have proper moisture control in the area. Our team was quick to fix this problem for Mr. J, they first started by insulating all of the exposed exterior walls with Foamax boards which were air-sealed with ZypFoam that were further sealed with vapor barrier tape. Our insulation contractors then upgraded the space with our total clean space encapsulation system. They first started with laying down a drainage matt that was sealed to a vapor barrier by vapor barrier tape. The combination of both of these creates an impenetrable encapsulation system!

Total Clean Space Encapsulation System
This is a picture of the crawlspace with properly insulated exposed exterior walls and proper moisture control. The total clean space encapsulation system is secured to the Foamax boards with vapor barrier tape with ZypFoam air-sealing done on top.
