Super Platform Install in Pine Plains, NY

Before the arrival of our team of insulation experts, this homeowner was suffering from high energy bills and knew that he needed an evaluation of his home. We sent one of our highly trained home comfort specialists to the home. During the evaluation, our specialist, Charlie found that the attic was poorly insulated with old batt fiberglass insulation. Our best possible solution was to upgrade the insulation in the home while also optimizing storage space for the homeowner. 

Our team of experts was quick to arrive and help fix this uncomfortable home! Our team first started by removing all of the old insulation in the attic. Once removed, they then air-sealed the space by using ZypFoam. Air-sealing the attic ensures that the overall temperature of the space will no longer be affected by leaky or unwanted air. Once finished, our team started installing the super-platform in the attic in order to optimize storage space. They installed SilverGlo on top of the existing flooring and then air-sealed between the boards with ZypFoam. They then secured plywood boards on top which were also air-sealed. Finally, our experts then insulated the space with blown-in cellulose into the eves of the attic so that the home's overall performance would be improved and insulated up to an r-value of 60!
