We opened our doors to Global Dwelling back in 2007, to provide our clients with our state-of-the-art solutions and energy-saving services - designed to reduce home energy consumption, while improving home comfort. Our goals have been intact since we started; to educate our customers on the energy flows of the building and to provide the most cost-effective opportunities for the home.
The company name, Global Dwelling, was conceived with a vision behind it, to encompass all the ideals of fair balance and incorporate the practical aspects of modern building science. The end result, reducing our carbon footprint and affecting changes in behavior that help bring us back into balance.
We're different from our competitors because we give you control; we let you decide what you want done. This way you can feel comfortable knowing what work is being done to your home.
At Global Dwelling, we want to improve the energy efficiency of every building we enter. We are not here to make up fancy numbers or use false information. We want to educate our customers and we want to improve the health and comfort of all of our clients' homes!
Global Dwelling employs a team of people directly and subcontractors for specialized jobs as needed. Our employees comprise a small but efficient team. We are a small company with enormously good intentions and hope. We hope to be servants to the public and stewards of the Earth.
"...if someone is looking to get rich quick in this business I would try something else. If there wasn't a bigger reason, the environment and connecting with people and the earth, I would have quit this business the first week. ... We developed a master plan based on diagnostic equipment, the existing home and embodied energy in it, peoples lifestyles and plans if any for the house, and we help developed a plan to have the biggest impact on reducing carbon footprint. This requires taking a critical look and realizing that changing or improving a home only makes sense if it's long term. Otherwise, you've often used more embodied energy in fixing or changing something then you would have used leaving it as is. The most important thing to realize in all these changes and improvements renewable energies are all necessary going forward. But if we truly want to save energy we need to change our lifestyles. If you look at the current geopolitical situation and couple that with the environment you'll realize that it's a drop in the bucket. We need to live in balance with the earth, and we need to change and learn how to do that. We won't be able to buy our way out of this."
